HR Business Partner

About the role

The HR Business Partner provides end‑to‑end HR consultancy to departmental clients, supporting line managers in HR activities and ensuring adherence to best practices. This role acts as the primary HR contact, fostering collaborative relationships that drive business outcomes for the mine.

Key responsibilities

• Execute strategic HR objectives, guide line managers on organisational structures, and support people change initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date organisational charts, HRIS data, and weekly issue trackers for assigned departments.
• Identify promotion candidates, oversee performance review processes, and conduct quality checks on assessments.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee grievances, manage disciplinary hearings, and ensure managers are trained in DC & G procedures.
• Track employee surveys, engagement actions, and develop career management and succession plans.
• Communicate wellness offerings, monitor absence trends, and develop corrective action plans.
• Partner with line managers on manpower planning, recruitment, job evaluations, and onboarding processes.
• Support people development by collating training needs, monitoring training effectiveness, and providing feedback to HR leadership.
• Educate managers on reward tools, pay‑round guidelines, incentive schemes, and payroll policies.
• Manage employee exits, including contract renewals, resignations, and exit formalities.
