Human Resources & Administration Officer

About the role

The Human Resources & Administration Officer will lead HR functions and manage day-to-day administrative operations at Fincred Finance. The role ensures smooth recruitment, employee relations, performance management and office logistics, supporting the company’s growth in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment: post jobs, screen candidates, conduct interviews and oversee onboarding.
• Handle employee relations, mediate conflicts and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Implement performance appraisal processes, provide feedback and coordinate development plans.
• Identify training needs, organise sessions and support continuous learning.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration and ensure compliance with labour and health‑safety regulations.
• Develop, update and enforce HR policies in line with legal requirements.
• Supervise office management, including facilities, supplies, equipment and record‑keeping.
• Assist with budgeting for administrative expenses and monitor spend.
• Coordinate company events, meetings and conferences, handling all logistical details.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and arrange employee travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; HR certification or master’s degree is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in HR and administration, preferably within the finance sector.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian labour law and HR best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail.

• Proficiency in HR software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
