Junior Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Planner to join BIABIA Group’s maintenance team in Zambia. The role focuses on planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities for equipment used in public works, mining and transport, ensuring resources, parts and documentation are available and processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site SAP service orders, open and update orders with estimated or actual costs.
• Produce regular age‑analysis, labour recovery and financial status reports.
• Monitor resource allocation versus plan and report deviations daily.
• Create and process purchase requisitions while promoting supplier competition.
• Maintain server files and ensure asset accountability with signed documentation.
• Participate in SAP process development, training and implementation.
• Conduct light‑vehicle service inspections and bookings.
• Handle container management and ensure compliance with Zambian law.
• Run long‑term forecasts, identify work to be scheduled and support backlog reduction.
• Support continuous improvement by introducing tools to simplify the planning cycle.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with interest in maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with SAP maintenance modules and reporting.
• Strong analytical ability to track costs, resources and schedule performance.
• Attention to documentation compliance and ability to work with site supervisors.
• Willingness to work onsite in Zambia and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
