Machine Specialist

About the role

The Machine Specialist is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing production machines and associated equipment to ensure high availability and product quality while controlling costs. You will work closely with the maintenance planning team and shift‑based operators to keep the plant running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in maintenance planning meetings, providing input and clarifying work requirements.
• Execute planned, routine, and opportunistic maintenance tasks according to the schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner.
• Report any incomplete scheduled work to the Planner for rescheduling or prioritisation.
• Support fellow team members during maintenance windows and assist with problem resolution.
• Complete all related administration, including COSWIN data entry, for both planned and running repairs.
• Conduct post‑maintenance reviews to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, and inspections as defined in the maintenance schedule.
• Analyse machine performance, conduct loss and waste analyses, and develop action plans for improvement.
• Provide specialist support to shift‑based teams, including standby assistance and expert guidance on fault finding.

Required profile

• Experience in industrial machine maintenance or a similar technical environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with planners, engineers, and operators.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and familiarity with structured troubleshooting methods.
• Good communication skills for reporting and documentation.
