About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our maintenance team at the Mopani site. You will ensure that all equipment, facilities and systems are kept in optimal condition, safe and compliant with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and external contractors.
- Develop, implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for underground trucks and loaders.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimise downtime.
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Train and mentor team members to improve technical and safety skills.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals.
Required profile
- Advanced Technician Certificate, Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management or a related field.
- TL2 certification is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience on underground Epiroc trucks and loaders, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, hydraulics, electrical, RCS and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
