Media Sales Executive

About the role

Nkwazi Magazine is seeking a proactive Media Sales Executive to drive advertising revenue across its print, digital and multimedia platforms. You will work across the Zambian, South African and Namibian markets, identifying and converting new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Research and target potential advertisers in Zambia, South Africa and Namibia.
• Make sales calls, send pitches and follow up professionally.
• Present tailored advertising proposals for print, digital, social and multimedia channels.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, agencies and key stakeholders.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Track leads and sales activity using CRM or other sales tools.
• Collaborate with editorial, design and marketing teams to ensure successful campaign delivery.
• Represent Nkwazi Magazine at industry events, expos and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in sales, advertising, media, publishing or business development.
• Strong phone communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Good knowledge of the Zambian advertising market; familiarity with South African and Namibian markets is a plus.
• Organised, persistent and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
• A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is advantageous.
