Product Support Technician

About the role

The Product Support Technician provides expert technical support to Epiroc customers, ensuring equipment reliability, availability and safety. You will work on‑site in remote mining locations, delivering maintenance, repairs and training while adhering to Epiroc standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain OBK equipment through preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to achieve >85% availability.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems, targeting 60+ hours of reliable operation after service.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and service calls to minimise downtime.
• Support commissioning, start‑ups, upgrades, rebuilds and field demonstrations of OBK drilling and exploration equipment.
• Deliver customer training on safe use, maintenance routines and best practices.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on failures, implement corrective actions and drive reliability improvements.
• Document all service activities in accordance with Epiroc procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Heavy Equipment, Mining, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years of field service or maintenance experience with mining, drilling or exploration equipment, preferably OBK products.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly to remote sites.
• Commitment to zero Lost Time Injuries and zero environmental pollution.

• Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis.
• Interpretation of OEM manuals, technical drawings, hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Equipment commissioning, start‑up, upgrade and rebuild procedures.
• Customer training delivery and service documentation.
