Project Manager – Maintenance Execution

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of all maintenance activities at the Lumwana contract site. The role ensures projects are executed safely, on time, within budget and aligned with operational performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single authority for all maintenance execution, prioritising planned, preventive and breakdown work.
• Make real‑time decisions on work prioritisation, resource allocation and shift changes.
• Lead breakdown response in the open pit, mobilising teams quickly to minimise equipment downtime and improve MTTR.
• Oversee disciplined execution of workshop‑based planned maintenance while balancing breakdown priorities.
• Directly manage breakdown and workshop foremen, enforcing clear accountability and standardised work practices.
• Allocate manpower dynamically across pit and workshop, day and night shifts in a FIFO 21/7 environment.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, reinforcing safe lifting, welding and field repairs.
• Collaborate with Turnaround Control Lead, Product Master and Parts & Readiness to align planning with execution.
• Drive performance improvements in equipment availability, breakdown response time and maintenance efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance execution in mining or heavy‑equipment environments.
• Strong background in breakdown management and field operations.
• Ability to make rapid, data‑driven decisions under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and resource‑management skills.
