Project Officer

About the role

The Project Officer will support the implementation of food security and livelihoods activities under the strategic guidance of the Project Team Lead. Working closely with line ministries, partners, and community groups, the officer ensures that project components are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update monthly project activity plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate and monitor integrated, multi‑sectoral interventions targeting households, including market assessments.
• Facilitate community engagement, capacity‑building sessions, and the organization of project activities in target camps and groups.
• Support the design and use of data‑collection tools, conduct rapid needs assessments, and contribute to monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Action Against Hunger policies, operational procedures, and donor requirements.
• Identify and promote local innovations in collaboration with Climate Smart leaders and lead adaptive research on climate‑change impacts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination or management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills with ministries, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
