Quality Controller – Huntley Farm

About the role

The Quality Controller will ensure food safety and product quality throughout the manufacturing process at Zambeef's Huntley Farm facility. You will monitor critical control points, verify sanitation, and support compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and overall product safety during production.
• Inspect equipment, machinery, raw materials, and finished goods for compliance.
• Record and file all relevant logs, documentation, and lab sample results.
• Conduct spot checks on packaging, labeling, and recipe adherence.
• Ensure employees follow food safety and worker safety practices.
• Report non‑conformance to the Food Safety Manager and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for safety, health, and quality improvements.
• Collect product and laboratory samples and facilitate clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Perform sanitation verification on equipment and designated areas.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Training in GMP, HACCP and ISO22000.
• At least 1 year of experience in a food processing plant.
• Certificates must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
