Refractory Artisan – Ball Mill Lining

About the role

The Refractory Artisan is responsible for the installation, maintenance and performance monitoring of refractory linings on all ball mills, ensuring compliance with work instructions and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and install refractory linings on ball mills according to required specifications.
• Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to refractory linings.
• Monitor lining performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide technical advice to maintenance personnel on refractory materials.
• Develop and apply strategies to improve installation efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure safety compliance when handling hazardous refractory materials.

Required profile

• Technical knowledge of metallurgy and refractory materials.
• Proven experience installing and maintaining refractory linings in ball mills.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of physical fitness due to the demanding nature of the work.
