Security Officer (Asset Protection)

About the role

The Security Officer will safeguard the Authority’s assets and personnel across all premises. This role combines proactive loss‑prevention measures with reactive investigation and recovery of incidents, acting as the primary liaison with third‑party security providers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and detect concerns using CCTV, vehicle tracking and drones.
• Mark and verify asset locations and numbers during movements in and out of Authority sites.
• Control access points to prevent unauthorized entry and manage asset flow.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly logs of all security incidents.
• Investigate breaches, prepare reports for police or prosecution, and support court cases.
• Coach and supervise hired guards to ensure effective patrols.
• Liaise with law‑enforcement agencies when incidents occur.
• Coordinate rapid response across all Authority locations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of security experience.
• Grade twelve (12) certificate with at least five O‑levels including Mathematics and English.
• Diploma in Business Administration, Law, Police duties, peace and conflict resolution or equivalent; a degree is a plus.
