Senior Regional Business Development Executive

About the role

Dentons is seeking a Senior Regional Business Development Executive to support the Africa region’s client and market activities. Reporting to the Africa BD Lead and Africa COO, the role will drive firm‑wide campaigns, branding, communications and thought‑leadership initiatives across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of the regional clients and markets plan, executing initiatives and tracking progress.
• Assist with rollout of firm‑wide sector and key‑client programs across Africa.
• Increase internal and external brand awareness through consistent regional marketing activities.
• Develop and maintain regional collateral such as brochures, web pages and leadership bios.
• Prepare and deliver Africa Region meetings and conventions, handling agenda materials, logistics and speaker coordination.
• Coordinate updates across regional and global social‑media platforms.
• Assist with annual directory and awards submissions, including Chambers Africa‑wide and the African Legal Awards.
• Support coordination of pan‑African pitches and proposals, gathering input from referral firms.
• Liaise with country BD leads to gather inputs and coordinate regional and global campaigns.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in business development, marketing or communications, preferably within professional services or a legal environment.
• Strong written and organisational skills with experience coordinating across multiple offices or jurisdictions.
• Excellent proficiency in English; French is a considerable advantage.
• Data‑driven insight, detail‑oriented and solution‑focused.
• Team player, reliable, meets deadlines and can work under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work proactively without daily supervision.
