Superintendent, Reliability

About the role

The Superintendent, Reliability will lead the reliability function for the engineering department, ensuring that maintenance strategies, plans and condition monitoring support operational availability targets for the process plant. This senior position combines technical expertise with team leadership to drive asset performance and sustainable value.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to optimise business efficiency.
• Support senior functional and process leaders in delivering results.
• Align maintenance strategies with asset condition and business performance requirements.
• Lead the reliability team, set direction, and build strong internal and external relationships.
• Develop talent through mentoring, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Establish and monitor reliability KPIs, and report performance to the team.
• Deliver internal project and reliability engineering services for process plant sections.
• Lead root‑cause analysis investigations and compile downtime data for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in reliability or asset management within an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, asset condition monitoring and operational availability.
• Ability to translate organisational goals into actionable team objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety, environmental and cost considerations in all activities.
