Superintendent, Training and Development

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a Superintendent of Training and Development to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning programmes that support the company’s strategic objectives. The role will shape leadership development, manage e‑learning platforms and drive a culture of high performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, oversee and deliver a comprehensive training and development strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
• Design and implement leadership development programmes for emerging and existing leaders.
• Coordinate coaching, mentoring and leadership assessments.
• Evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Arrange formal accreditation of learning programmes where required.
• Compile statistical reports for management decision‑making.
• Administer and optimise Learning Management Systems, training databases and reporting tools.
• Design, implement and manage e‑learning modules, virtual classrooms and digital learning resources.
• Integrate modern learning technologies, gamification and blended learning approaches.
• Analyse training needs to develop or improve programmes.
• Draft and implement training & development policies, procedures and talent frameworks.
• Lead succession planning, talent reviews and career progression initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
