Surveying Engineer – Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The Surveying Engineer will act as the primary quality‑control authority for all surveying activities within the Road and Bridge Project Department. You will ensure that construction layout, control point verification, and topographical measurements meet international engineering standards and local regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft engineering survey plans and calibration schedules for measuring instruments.
• Monitor survey implementation by project stakeholders and report progress to the lead engineer.
• Inspect qualifications and calibration status of surveying instruments in design and construction departments.
• Maintain proper storage, maintenance, and documentation of surveying equipment.
• Conduct re‑measurement of control points, supervise permanent point maintenance, and verify accuracy of layout work.
• Perform measurement verification throughout construction to achieve a 100% qualification rate, and enforce immediate on‑site rectification of non‑compliant items.
• Validate control points before project start, organize additions or relocations, and submit detailed reports.
• Review self‑inspection reports, verify stake positions, and check accuracy of foundation layout and settlement observations.
• Attend change meetings, conduct elevation re‑measurements, and preserve original survey data.
• Maintain measurement logs, upload daily updates, and respond to supervisory comments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering surveying and measurement control.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and local surveying regulations.
• Ability to supervise, verify, and report on surveying activities across large infrastructure projects.
