About the role
We are seeking an experienced accountant to volunteer with a Zambian charity that uses football to deliver education, health and sport programmes to over 2,200 children. The placement lasts up to four weeks and will support the organisation in strengthening its financial management and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Review and correct the use of Quickbooks, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
- Coach staff on performing current and historic bank reconciliations.
- Lead the consolidation of the three entity accounts to provide a unified financial picture.
- Develop templates and tools that enable the team to maintain the process independently.
- Support decentralisation of finance duties by training project officers in record‑keeping, budgeting and grant reporting.
Required profile
- Qualified accounting professional with experience in non‑profit finance.
- Comfortable working on‑site in Zambia for a short‑term volunteer assignment.
Required skills
- Quickbooks accounting software.
- Bank reconciliation procedures.
