Warehouse Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operator to join our logistics team at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. In this role you will ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts, tools and equipment that support our mining and construction operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming purchase and transfer orders and verify correct parts and quantities.
• Perform wall‑to‑wall and cycle stock counts.
• Put away and bin stock in designated locations.
• Pick and pack orders for internal and external customers.
• Maintain and update warehouse location data in Sandvik systems.
• Report inventory, safety or other discrepancies using the LPS system.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure warehouse equipment is functional and safety procedures are followed.
• Carry out general warehouse administration and housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• ZIPS/CIPS certification.
• Active membership of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sandvik warehouse management system.
• Experience using the LPS reporting system.
