Area Sales Manager – Wholesale

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Wholesale will lead revenue growth and execution excellence across the wholesale network in Zambia. Reporting to the Commercial function, you will ensure efficient distribution, product quality, and strong customer relationships to drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, margin and volume targets.
• Ensure wholesale customers adhere to trading terms, agreements and the Look of Success (LOS) guidelines.
• Manage truck turn‑around time and product flow to align distribution with demand planning.
• Maintain optimal stock management practices to preserve product quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align promotional activities and in‑store execution.
• Monitor key business indicators such as revenue growth, margin, volume, NPS and trade execution KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 6‑8 years of sales management experience in an FMCG environment.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving growth within the wholesale channel.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs and sales trends.
