Carpenter (Flat Roof Specialist)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled carpenter with proven expertise in flat‑roof systems to join our construction team. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering durable, watertight flat roofs for residential projects while adhering to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential flat roofing systems.
• Prepare roof decks, including insulation, vapor barriers, and cover boards, to exacting standards.
• Apply waterproofing membranes such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, or modified bitumen accurately.
• Fabricate and install critical detailing – flashings, drip edges, parapet walls, and roof penetrations – to ensure complete weatherproofing.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturers’ installation guidelines.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, especially those related to working at heights.
• Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition.
• Perform general carpentry and finishing work as required by the project.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of verifiable experience as a carpenter.
• Hands‑on experience with flat‑roof construction and repair.
• In‑depth knowledge of roof‑deck preparation, insulation materials, and waterproofing methods.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in carpentry and roofing.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and project specifications.
• Craft Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or a related qualification.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to high‑quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to provide traceable references.
