Commission Sales Associate

About the role

The Commission Sales Associate will promote and sell educational books and materials to schools, bookstores, institutions and individual customers in Lusaka and surrounding areas. This full‑time, on‑site position is commission‑based and focuses on achieving sales targets while supporting the company’s mission to improve literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential clients in the education sector.
• Conduct visits, presentations and product demonstrations for schools, bookstores and other institutions.
• Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed agreed targets.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and prepare regular reports.
• Provide market feedback to product development and marketing teams.
• Coordinate deliveries and handle customer queries in collaboration with internal teams.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Required profile

• Proven sales or customer‑facing experience, preferably in publishing, education or FMCG.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently, organise schedules and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer and mobile tool proficiency for reporting and record‑keeping.
• Knowledge of the local education sector and school procurement processes is an advantage.
• Minimum secondary school certificate; diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or Education is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Lusaka and surrounding areas and work in a commission‑driven environment.
