Digital Power Solution Engineer

About the role

Huawei Zambia is seeking a Digital Power Solution Engineer to drive business growth and technical excellence for its Digital Power portfolio, which includes solar inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and modular data centers. The role blends sales activities with pre‑sales engineering, ensuring customers receive reliable and innovative power solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities across residential, commercial, industrial and utility‑scale projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, distributors, utilities and key accounts.
• Prepare proposals, pricing strategies and techno‑commercial offers in line with Huawei policies.
• Provide pre‑sales technical support: system sizing, solution design and configuration for inverters, BESS and data centers.
• Support installation, commissioning and O&M through guidance and training.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops and training for partners and customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments, feeding insights back to product teams.
• Report sales progress, solution deployments and customer feedback; coordinate with logistics, finance and R&D teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, ICT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of combined sales and technical experience in power electronics, renewable energy or data centers.
• Experience managing C&I or utility‑scale solar/BESS projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of inverter technologies, lithium‑ion battery storage and modular data center solutions.
• Familiarity with system design, grid integration and international standards (IEC, UL, ISO).
