Electrical Engineer – Solar Energy Sector

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with a passion for sustainable energy to join our growing team. The role focuses on designing, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for renewable energy projects, primarily solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, test, and maintain electrical systems for solar and renewable energy projects.
• Supervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, battery storage, and power distribution networks.
• Conduct site inspections, system assessments, and technical evaluations to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and comprehensive project documentation.
• Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and hand‑over.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on solar energy projects.
• Registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or an equivalent professional body.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
