Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of high‑quality health and nutrition programmes in Zambia, ensuring they align with Action Against Hunger’s country and sector strategies. This senior technical role provides strategic advice, supports project teams, and represents the programme with external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver health and nutrition projects that meet donor and organisational standards.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to nutrition staff and project teams.
• Conduct regular field visits and analyse the humanitarian health and nutrition context.
• Lead programme design, proposal writing, and support fundraising activities.
• Ensure compliance with Action Against Hunger and donor guidelines.
• Coordinate with logistics, HR, finance, and programme units for timely delivery.
• Liaise with government ministries, development partners, civil society, private sector, research institutions and academia.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of donor requirements and sector best practices.
• Ability to lead technical teams and build organisational capacity.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
