Line Haul Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Line Haul Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently between hubs and distribution centres. The role involves long‑distance driving, adherence to safety regulations, and close coordination with dispatch teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vehicles to move freight between designated locations.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle condition.
• Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of hours, mileage, and load details using electronic logging devices.
• Communicate with dispatchers about delays, mechanical issues, or accidents.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Follow company policies for freight handling and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Valid Driver’s License (Code 14) and a valid PdP.
• Minimum 5 + years of long‑haul or regional driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to lift and secure freight.
• Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays.

Required skills

• Operation of GPS navigation systems.
• Use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
• Basic mechanical knowledge for truck troubleshooting.
• Experience with trailer handling.
