Merchandiser (Retail)

About the role

The Merchandiser will ensure strong Dulux brand presence in large‑scale retail outlets such as GAME, Builders Warehouse and MICMAR. The role focuses on maintaining high merchandising standards, supporting customers, and driving sales through product knowledge and effective in‑store displays.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain AkzoNobel/Dulux shelf and display standards, ensuring at least 95% product availability.
• Execute block merchandising, manage dummy merchandising, and keep display areas clear and presentable.
• Monitor stock ageing, rotate inventory, remove damaged or expired items, and support replenishment processes.
• Ensure accurate and visible pricing, conduct shelf price surveys, and share market intelligence.
• Utilise point‑of‑sale materials efficiently, keep DCS stands stocked, and maintain functional lighting and brochures.
• Provide walk‑in customer service, offering product specifications, coverage calculations, pricing guidance, and colour selection using Dulux colour systems.
• Conduct in‑store demonstrations and promote product features.

Required profile

• Experience delivering merchandising standards in large retail environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dulux paint products and colour systems.
• Ability to manage stock, pricing, and visual displays accurately.
• Customer‑focused attitude with good communication skills.
