Professional Carpenter

About the role

The Professional Carpenter will work on‑site at properties managed by Kingdom Real Estate Agency ZM in Lusaka. You will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing and maintaining a variety of wooden structures to ensure high‑quality finishes and safe environments.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install and repair doors, window frames, cabinets, ceilings, partitions and other wooden fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and measurements to guide work.
• Prepare materials, cut, shape and assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Maintain tools and equipment safely, following company health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance and construction teams, reporting progress to supervisors.

Required profile

• Solid carpentry experience in residential and/or commercial property maintenance, renovations or new construction.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply building codes and safety standards.
• Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship or vocational training in carpentry (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving ability and practical, cost‑effective approach to repairs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work independently on‑site.

Required skills

• Accurate measurement, layout and cutting of wood.
• Assembly and installation of doors, windows, cabinets, ceilings and partitions.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and plans.
• Safe operation of hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards and best practices for carpentry work.
