Program Manager

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Program Manager to lead the STRIDES (Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems) Zambia program. The role will support the Project Director in ensuring that project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall management support for the STRIDES project throughout its lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate a detailed project management plan, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate team members, subcontractors, and external partners to align work plans and multi‑sector interventions.
• Monitor progress, track contractual deliverables, and produce regular reports for senior management and donors.
• Identify and resolve project issues, implement improvement plans, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Build capacity of project staff in project and operations management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development or health‑related programs, preferably in infectious disease or public health.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder teams and communicate project priorities.
• Experience preparing project documentation, budgets, and donor reports.
• Knowledge of compliance and contractual requirements in international development projects.
