Program Manager – STRIDES Zambia

About the role

The STRIDES Zambia Program Manager will support the Project Director in delivering the STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) program. Based in Lusaka, this role ensures project activities stay on schedule, within budget, and meet contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project management plan covering all STRIDES activities.
• Coordinate team members, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to align work plans, budgets, and multi‑sector interventions.
• Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and produce regular reports for senior management and donors.
• Identify and resolve project issues, implement improvement plans, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Provide capacity‑building support to staff and subcontractors in project and operations management.
• Facilitate partnerships and identify opportunities that advance project goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in health or development sectors.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to streamline reporting and issue resolution.
• Capacity to monitor budgets, schedules, and contractual deliverables.
