Real Estate Executive – Filling Station Land Acquisition

About the role

The client, a leading petroleum energy company, is seeking two Real Estate Executives to lead land acquisition for filling stations in Lusaka and Kasama, Zambia. You will identify, evaluate, negotiate and secure land parcels while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nationwide surveys to locate strategic sites for urban and rural filling stations.
• Assess sites against ERB, RDA, local council zoning, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed site evaluation reports covering traffic, proximity, environmental impact and commercial viability.
• Maintain an active property database and manage a pipeline of prospective sites.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities with surveyors, valuers and legal teams.
• Develop and sustain relationships with ERB, local councils, RDA, ZEMA, WARMA and the Ministry of Lands.
• Track regulatory changes, prepare permit applications and follow up for timely approvals.
• Lead negotiations with landowners, developers and agents, drafting heads of terms and supporting legal documentation.
• Oversee transaction documentation from initial contact through title transfer.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Zambian petroleum retail site regulations (ERB, RDA, ZEMA, WARMA, etc.).
• Proven experience in land acquisition, site evaluation and statutory liaison.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strategic relationships with government bodies and community stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
