SMPP Supervisor – Construction (12‑month contract) in Solwezi, Zambia

About the role

The SMPP Supervisor will lead construction activities for the Lumwana project in Solwezi, Zambia. This 12‑month contract position reports to the Construction Manager and ensures that all work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and subcontractors for assigned project portions.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental performance on site.
• Verify that work meets prescribed quality standards.
• Assist in coordinating design deliverables to support efficient construction.
• Identify, manage and resolve deficiencies and non‑conformances.
• Maintain site administration and record‑keeping in line with the Construction Execution Plan.
• Support estimating, scheduling, cost control and reporting for contractor activities.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for all contractors in the assigned area.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction trade methods and performance evaluation.
