Technology Transfer Officer – Public Sector

About the role

The National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) is seeking a qualified Zambian citizen to join its team as a Technology Transfer Officer. In this permanent, pensionable position you will facilitate the adoption and commercialisation of proven technologies, supporting industrial development across Zambia.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pilot innovative technologies for commercial use.
• Provide advisory services for product development of home‑grown innovations.
• Maintain and update a database of available technologies to improve information access.

Required profile

• Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Paid‑up membership of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Understanding of technology assessment and transfer processes.
• Ability to manage and curate technology databases.
