Data Collector – Baseline Survey (15 positions)

About the role

Save the Children is seeking 15 Data Collectors to support the baseline survey for the Child Sensitive Social Protection – 3.0 Project in the Chongwe and Rufunsa districts of Zambia. The two‑week assignment involves gathering household and caregiver information using pre‑designed questionnaires and digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Collect baseline indicator data from identified CWAC areas using child and caregiver questionnaires, including the ISELA assessment and Washington Group Questions.
• Enter data directly into KoboToolbox on a smartphone or tablet.
• Perform data cleaning and ensure completeness and accuracy of the collected datasets.
• Submit all original instruments, field data, and Excel files to Save the Children at the end of the study.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12 education.
• Fluent in English and local languages (Nyanja, Lenje, Soli).
• Resident of Chongwe, Rufunsa or nearby areas.
• Previous experience with field data collection; familiarity with KoboToolbox is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and patient.
• Level 3 child safeguarding clearance.

Required skills

• KoboToolbox (or similar mobile data collection platforms).
• Basic Excel for data cleaning.
