Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Coordinator leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of high‑quality health and nutrition programmes in Zambia, ensuring alignment with country and sector strategies and compliance with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality implementation of ongoing health and nutrition programmes.
• Conduct regular field visits and analyse the humanitarian health and nutrition context.
• Lead programme design, proposal writing and support fundraising activities.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to nutrition staff and other project teams.
• Coordinate with logistics, HR, finance, and programme units to ensure seamless delivery.
• Represent the programme externally with government ministries, development partners, civil society, private sector, research institutions and academia.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health and nutrition projects in humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of donor guidelines, sector best practices and country‑specific health and nutrition policies.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration across functions.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
