Human Resource Manager – Zambia Operations

About the role
Liugong East Africa CO., Limited is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead all HR functions for its Zambia operations. This is a hands‑on, on‑site contract position for a strategic, people‑first professional who can make an immediate impact.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, selection and structured onboarding programmes.
- Design and oversee performance appraisal cycles, KPI frameworks and improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian labour law, develop HR policies and manage employment documentation and audits.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinaries and drive wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Lead learning & development strategy, succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives, provide people analytics and support organisational design.
- Administer payroll and employee benefits in accordance with local regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a senior/generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian labour law and HR compliance.
- Proven experience drafting and implementing HR policies.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership on people strategy.
- Attention to detail and sound judgement.
- Must be a Zambian national or hold a valid legal right to work in Zambia.
