About the role
The Senior Procurement Specialist supports the Procurement Agent Manager in delivering high‑value and complex procurement packages across Zambia. The role involves preparing and reviewing procurement documentation, ensuring compliance with donor‑funded regulatory frameworks, and mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for goods, works, and services.
- Develop, review, and finalize bidding documents, evaluation reports, and contracts.
- Oversee contract administration, monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with World Bank, ADB, AfDB, and other donor regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to procurement staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Law, Procurement, Engineering, Business, Finance, Public Administration, or a recognized procurement certification (e.g., NIGP‑CPP, CPPO, CSCP, MCIPS, CPSM, CPSD).
- Minimum 8 years of public procurement experience, with at least two projects involving full document development.
- Experience with donor‑funded procurement frameworks; MCC experience is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
