Data Analyst – Wet Plant (S3)

About the role

The Data Analyst will work within the Wet Plant team to turn complex process data into actionable insights. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will support senior leadership by delivering analytical models, visualisations and reports that drive productivity, safety and quality improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an in‑depth understanding of metallurgical processes and manage process control systems.
• Evaluate recovery and concentrate quality improvement opportunities.
• Design, build and maintain databases, reports and monthly statistics for operations and maintenance teams.
• Perform large‑scale experimentation and create data‑driven models to answer business questions.
• Analyse process behaviour, identify bottlenecks and update mass balances, process flow and instrument diagrams.
• Apply statistical analysis and visualisation techniques to enrich data products.
• Deploy, maintain and improve statistical/ML models in production environments.
• Map data from various sources to a common schema and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Generate online dashboards aligned with process requirements.
• Support data adoption, monitor compliance with analytics standards and provide user assistance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in hypothesis‑based analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with business and operational leaders.
• Understanding of process optimisation in an industrial setting.
• Experience delivering technical advice to maintenance and operations teams.
