Drill Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator for the DTH Drills section ensures that drilling equipment is kept reliable and available through effective planning, execution, and oversight of maintenance activities. You will work closely with planners, technical advisors, and OEM contractors to minimise downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate detailed maintenance schedules for drill equipment in partnership with planners.
• Create work execution packages, including work instructions and inspection & test plans, that comply with OEM specifications.
• Maintain live service sheets and collaborate with the reliability team to update failure‑mode data.
• Ensure all tools, materials and resources are ready before any maintenance task begins.
• Assist with troubleshooting when breakdowns exceed two hours and ensure failure reports for incidents longer than four hours.
• Oversee adherence to scope, quality standards and timelines for mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Participate in kickoff, pre‑inspection, toolbox and training meetings.
• Keep statutory inspections and log books up to date.
• Help create the maintenance budget, monitor actual spend versus budget and identify corrective actions.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising safety or equipment reliability.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating maintenance activities on drilling equipment.
• Strong understanding of OEM maintenance specifications and reliability practices.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams including technical advisors, supervisors and contractors.
• Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis and reporting.
