End User Technology Analyst

About the role

The End User Technology Analyst will join the IT Infrastructure Team to oversee and converge operations across Data Centre, Networks, Desktop, Laptop and Print Services. Reporting to the Infrastructure Specialist, the role ensures that Absa Group IT standards are applied and that end‑user technology services run smoothly across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage end‑user and network infrastructure in line with Absa Group IT standards.
• Define, resolve and monitor problems, liaise with suppliers and develop escalation procedures.
• Plan and execute system administration, performance tuning and capacity planning activities.
• Evaluate equipment requirements, propose new services and ensure appropriate installations.
• Provide expert assistance to IT Service and Support analysts for complex issues.
• Act as an escalation point in the absence of the manager.
• Install, test, audit and configure hardware and software to maintain secure systems.
• Develop and monitor IT change schedules to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures, ensuring daily and monthly backups are performed.
• Monitor service level agreements, report on targets and take corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and end‑user technology services.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with project managers and business units.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of IT and IS development trends.
