IX Plant & Services Superintendent

About the role

The IX Plant & Services Superintendent will lead the Ion Exchange (IX) Plant and all process plant services at Lumwana Mine. Reporting to the Assistant Process Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient, compliant and cost‑effective operations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee hired mobile equipment for process plant operations, ensuring scheduling, utilization and safety.
• Lead 5S inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization across the plant.
• Plan, prepare and execute SAG and ball‑mill relines, managing checklists, readiness trackers and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation teams and external suppliers for tools, consumables and spares.
• Conduct contractor performance evaluations, audits, competence checks and safety inductions.
• Ensure OHS and environmental compliance, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and incident investigations.
• Develop and manage the annual budget for IX plant operations and services.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance, brine efficiency, housekeeping, equipment utilization and contractor reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supervising ion‑exchange or similar processing plants.
• Strong knowledge of mill relining procedures and equipment hire management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety and environmental compliance programs.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder coordination skills.
