Logistics Specialist – Exports & Imports

About the role

The Logistics Specialist – Exports & Imports will support the Logistics Coordinator in planning, executing, and monitoring transportation, import/export, warehousing, and inventory activities. The role ensures timely movement of goods, accurate documentation, and compliance with company procedures while coordinating with transporters, clearing agents, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in staging shipments, booking and scheduling transport, and monitoring shipment progress.
• Support loading, dispatch, and verification of shipment quantities and documentation.
• Coordinate with transporters, clearing agents, and warehouse teams regarding shipment status.
• Maintain transport invoices, shipment records, and logistics filing systems.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation, follow up on customs clearance, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Collect, verify, and file proof of delivery (POD) documents.
• Support inventory reconciliation, stock movement tracking, cycle counts, and reporting of discrepancies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year internship experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing or supply‑chain operations.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.

• Experience with ERP systems (PASTEL, Sage Evolution preferred)
