Mechanical Maintenance Training Specialist

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Training Specialist is responsible for identifying training needs and delivering targeted development programmes for engineering and operational staff. This role ensures that mechanical maintenance teams maintain high competence levels, improve efficiency, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering sections to determine mechanical training and development requirements aligned with short‑ and long‑term operational goals.
• Work with planning to identify training needs arising from machine breakdowns, defects, shutdowns and planned maintenance.
• Assess employee competence levels and create a comprehensive mechanical technical training plan.
• Develop, update and deliver mechanical training packages (theory and practical) using appropriate methods.
• Coordinate training schedules with supervisors and ensure timely delivery.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and measure impact on key performance indicators.
• Maintain training records and matrices in the approved Learning Management System.
• Promote safe work habits and reinforce company safety procedures.
