Resource Superintendent – Mineral Resources Management

About the role

The Resource Superintendent will join the Mineral Resources Management (MRM) team at Lumwana Mining Company, reporting to the Senior Resource Superintendent. The role focuses on delivering reliable mineral resource and rolling grade control models that support mine planning and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead estimation and management of mineral resources across the Lumwana site, ensuring compliance with international reporting standards.
• Provide technical leadership to the Resource Geology team and drive the delivery of geologically sound resource and grade‑control models.
• Oversee mine‑to‑mill reconciliation, maintaining model accuracy within a ±5% margin.
• Ensure full compliance with NI 43‑101 reporting requirements and SOX controls.
• Coordinate integration between Exploration, Resource Geology, and Mine Planning to maintain consistent geological interpretation.
• Manage data quality processes to guarantee integrity for resource and grade‑control updates.
• Develop, update, and optimise grade‑control block models aligned with operational strategies.
• Coach junior geologists and support their development in line with group standards.
• Contribute reliable block models for open‑pit mine planning and identify life‑of‑mine risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mineral resource estimation and modelling.
• Strong technical leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to mentor and train junior geologists.
