Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will join our finance team in Lusaka on a full‑time, on‑site basis. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash‑flow management and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with operational teams to drive cost control and financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily transactions and reconcile ledger accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, process invoices and payments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian tax and regulatory requirements and assist with audits.
• Collaborate with operations to handle inventory accounting and cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA is an advantage.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
