Carbon Project Intern – Project Coordination & Data Management

About the role

The Carbon Project Intern will support the day‑to‑day coordination of BioLite’s improved‑cookstove initiative, ensuring that commercial and carbon‑program objectives are met through meticulous project tracking, field execution and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the activity tracker, milestones, meeting actions and weekly status updates, coordinating across Commercial, Field, Finance, Logistics, Data/Credit and external partners.
• Organise product demonstrations, partner mobilisation, carbon marketing and distribution activities, ensuring compliance with customer eligibility, consent and documentation requirements.
• Capture and validate records such as customer/KYC details, consent, GPS or ward information, stove serial IDs, proof of delivery or installation, and monitoring evidence.
• Run data quality checks for completeness, duplicates and outliers, maintain audit trails and resolve data exceptions within agreed timelines.
• Reconcile stove allocations and distributions with warehouse, logistics, partner and sales records to ensure end‑to‑end traceability.
• Produce a concise dashboard covering units distributed, data completeness, exceptions, reconciliations and milestones; support field checks, audits and verification requests.
• Collect feedback from customers and partners, document lessons learned and recommend improvements to adoption, data quality and project controls.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Economics, Business, Data, Project Management, Development Studies or a related field.
• Confident user of Google Sheets, capable of cleaning data, maintaining trackers and preparing clear summaries.
• Exposure to carbon markets, MRV, clean cooking or last‑mile distribution is an advantage.
• Strong ownership, integrity, attention to detail and stakeholder‑management skills; comfortable working in the field.
