Project Development Supervisor – Solar Energy Projects

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Development Supervisor to support utility‑scale solar energy projects (100–200 MW) across Zambia. The role provides end‑to‑end administrative, operational and coordination support while acting as a key liaison between internal teams, government authorities, power utilities, consultants, contractors, investors and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project planning, scheduling, activity tracking and progress monitoring for solar PV projects.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including logistics, travel and accommodation.
• Prepare agendas, record minutes, maintain action trackers and follow up on tasks.
• Conduct market research on Zambia’s renewable energy sector, analyse data for feasibility studies and support preparation of proposals, presentations and technical reports.
• Liaise with government agencies, power utilities and regulatory bodies to support permit applications, approvals and compliance documentation.
• Monitor project expenditures, assist with budget tracking and maintain financing documentation.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards and management updates.
• Participate in site inspections, coordinate on‑site activities and support field data collection.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in project administration, coordination or infrastructure/energy development (fresh graduates with strong academic records are also encouraged).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to manage documents, write reports and engage with multiple stakeholders.
