Computer Vision Annotator (Remote)

About the role

The Computer Vision Annotator will accurately label and annotate image and video data to support the development of computer‑vision and machine‑learning models. Working remotely, you will help create high‑quality datasets for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, pose estimation and 3‑D perception.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes, polygons, polylines and 3‑D cuboids on visual data using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio or Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Place key points for pose or landmark detection and perform semantic/instance segmentation.
• Annotate point‑cloud and LiDAR data for autonomous‑vehicle or robotics projects.
• Interpret labeling taxonomies, resolve ambiguous cases and refine guidelines with project managers and data scientists.
• Provide feedback on annotation tools, identify edge cases, bias and data quality issues, and suggest workflow improvements.
• Assist with basic data preparation tasks such as image resizing, format conversion and sensor synchronization.
• Track performance metrics (throughput, precision, recall) and participate in calibration sessions to ensure team consistency.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in data annotation or quality assurance for computer‑vision or ML projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy on repetitive labeling tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with annotation platforms: CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, Supervisely, Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Experience with bounding‑box, polygon, key‑point, 3‑D cuboid and segmentation‑mask techniques.
• Solid understanding of computer‑vision concepts such as object detection, image classification, point clouds and LiDAR.
