Customer Service Advisor

About the role

The Customer Service Advisor works on the branch floor to process teller transactions accurately and provide friendly, prompt assistance to walk‑in customers. The role combines cash handling, cheque processing and frontline customer service while adhering to the bank’s procedures and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and receive cash, cheques, drafts and other financial instruments over the counter.
• Verify all transaction details (date, ID, amount, funds availability) before processing.
• Capture each transaction in the bank’s system and obtain required authorisations.
• Count cash accurately, adhering to the bank’s zero‑tolerance policy for teller errors.
• Assist customers in completing deposit or withdrawal slips and other documentation.
• Provide advice on cash processes, explain procedures and security requirements.
• Resolve customer enquiries at first contact and escalate only when necessary.
• Identify potential sales leads and refer them to personal bankers.
