Digital Health Consultant (Hybrid, 4.7 months)

About the role
UNICEF Zambia is seeking a Digital Health Consultant to provide technical and programmatic support for strengthening the country’s digital health ecosystem. Working under the Chief of Health, the consultant will operate in a hybrid mode for approximately 4.7 months.
Key responsibilities
- Implement digital health solutions and support programmatic activities.
- Develop policies and strategic plans for digital health integration.
- Coordinate partnerships with the Ministry of Health, development partners and other stakeholders.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on digital health initiatives.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, Development Studies or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in digital health, including system deployment and project management.
- Previous work with ministries of health and development partners.
- Fluency in English.
Required skills
- Experience with digital public‑goods platforms such as DHIS2, OpenLMIS, iHRIS and OpenMRS.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, interoperability and user‑centered design.
- Strong communication, coordination and multi‑stakeholder collaboration abilities.
