Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will oversee day‑to‑day financial management for AHN’s dialysis clinics, supporting Country Directors in Zambia and Rwanda. The role ensures accurate accounting, budgeting, cash‑flow management, and compliance with local finance regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support Country Directors and finance teams in managing clinic finances, including monthly cash‑flow, financial reporting, audits, cash allocations, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Ensure billing for all dialysis centers complies with company standards and the requirements of hospital and insurance partners.
• Monitor accounts receivable, engage partners to improve collection timelines, and reduce outstanding balances.
• Maintain full compliance with tax and statutory obligations, preparing and submitting payroll, pension, and tax filings in line with local laws.
• Review and recommend improvements to financial processes and operational practices to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and mitigate fraud or revenue leakage; escalate issues promptly.
• Oversee payroll management, ensuring policies, processes, and execution align with organizational guidelines and timelines.
• Collaborate with group‑level finance staff to design, implement, and optimise financial systems supporting payments, cash management, payroll, and overall financial operations.
